Evening primrose oil (EPO), comes from the seeds of the evening primrose plant. Like black currant seed oil and borage oil, EPO contains gamma linolenic acid (GLA), a fatty acid that the body converts to a hormone-like substance called prostaglandin E1 .For centuries, EPO has been used to provide nutritional support for women with premenstrual syndrome (PMS); it may also play a role in promoting smooth, healthy-looking skin.Evening Primrose Oil also works to support heart health, nerve function and healthy skin.

Application:

Evening primrose oil has been used for decreasing the risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol and by decreasing the risk of blood clots (decreased platelet aggregation).
