Sucralose is a white powder, non-caloric, high intensity sweetener made from sugar, 600 -650 times sweeter than cane sugar. Sucralose has been approved for using in foods and beverages by FAO/WHO in more than 40 countries including Canada, Australia and China.
White to off-white, odourless practically, crystalline powder.
The infrared absorption spectrum of a potassium bromide dispersion of the product exhibits relative maxima at the same wavelengths as those of a similar preparation of sucralose standard for analytical use.
The retention time of the major peak in the liquid chromatogram of the sample product preparation is the same as that of the standard preparation obtained in the assay.
The RF value of the major spot in the thin-layer chromatogram of the test preparation is the same as that of the standard preparation obtained in the test for related substances.
